Before leaving his homeland, Lache Cercel was one of Romania's premier musicians.
Lache plays with the outrageous virtuaosity found in contemporary European Rom recordings and adds his own vision, relaxing the form somewhat. He is a bandleader who lets every musician shine. The listener feels the strong roots and hears the history of tragedy, struggle and ultimate survival that is part of Roma music.
Muzika Konkordo is a musical tour of Romanian folk traditions; a combination of traditional tunes from the various regions and Lache's original compostions based on traditional styles.
