Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, throat-singer Tanya Tagaq Gillis's music comes at you from all directions on this CD, which is her best. Recorded in Spain, Whitehorse and Calgary with guests such as Buck 65, Mr. Bungle's Mike Patton and violinist Jesse Zubot, she finally has the sonic template to fully develop her First Nations' avant-garde concepts.
