The music industry is a changin’ and we’re a changin’ too. After more than 15 years of bringing you the best in independant music on LPs, cassettes and CDs, at music festivals and to your local music store, Festival Distribution has closed its loading dock for good and has now opened an online shop.

therecordtent.com will become the digital version of the record tents you’ve been visiting for years at folk music festivals across the country – it even has some of the same old staff.

It has been a long road to get this site off the ground and we decided to start with a small selection of independant music and grow it much like we did Festival Distriubution. As we grow and learn the digital world we want to keep in mind all of the positive things about the old bricks and mortar record store "down the street". We want to engage our audience and bring new and exciting music to you.

We are now building a catalogue of great music. We'll have digital downloads as well as real CD's and will gather interesting merchandise likes sheet music, books, tshirts etc. We plan to join with our friends at a number of folk festivals to bring the performers music to your door the year round.
